MUSCLE PLUS® oral tablets

MUSCLE PLUS® oral tablets (Paracetamol BP 500mg, chlorzoxazone USP 250mg and Diclofenac sodium BP 50mg)

Paracetamol

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, is a medication used to treat mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It is available over-the-counter (OTC) and in prescription-strength formulations, and is used to relieve a variety of conditions, including headaches, menstrual cramps, toothaches, and arthritis pain.

Paracetamol works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that promote inflammation and cause pain and fever. The medication is generally considered safe and well-tolerated when taken as directed, although it can cause liver damage if taken in excessive amounts.

Chlorzoxazone

Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant medication used to treat muscle spasms and pain. It works by acting on the central nervous system, depressing reflexes in the spinal cord and reducing the signals that cause muscles to spasm.

Chlorzoxazone is typically used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that may include rest, physical therapy, and other pain-relieving medications. The medication is available in tablet form and is taken orally.

While chlorzoxazone is generally well-tolerated, it can cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, upset stomach, and headache. It is important to use chlorzoxazone as directed and to avoid consuming alcohol or other sedative medications while taking it.

Diclofenac Sodium

Diclofenac sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce pain, inflammation, and fever. It is commonly prescribed for the relief of pain associated with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and menstrual cramps. It can also be used to treat acute migraines and postoperative pain.

Diclofenac sodium works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. It is available in several forms, including tablets, capsules, gels, patches, and injections. The dosage and method of administration depend on the specific condition being treated and the patient’s medical history.

Like all NSAIDs, diclofenac sodium can have side effects, including stomach upset, diarrhea, constipation, headache, dizziness, and skin rash. In rare cases, it can cause more serious side effects, such as liver or kidney damage, bleeding or perforation of the stomach or intestines, and heart attack or stroke.
